The Shawwal moon ( symbolising the start of the new Islamic month) was not sighted, meaning Saturday will be the last day of Ramadan.

The majority of UK Muslims in the UK, base their calendar on sightings in other parts of the world including the UK itself as well as Pakistan and Morocco (which is the closest Muslim country).
